Custom Öhlins rear shocks are built by PMB in Switzerland following a thorough checklist to optimize its fit, performance and durability

| Rebound Tuning | Adjusted based on the ride + practice + bike geometry |
| Base Valve Type | DH or All Mountain / Enduro depending on rider's practice |
| Settings | Settings are chosen from a fully up to date setting bank provided by Öhlins Racing AB |
| Eyelet | TTX22m.2, m.1, original or proprietary depending on the fit with the bike; m.1 and original eyelets are used when they are the only ones compatible with the bike |
| Cylinder Head | Side by side or piggyback depending on the fit with the bike |
| Piston size | Each piston is sized to perfection to lower friction and increase durability |
| Assembly in | Assembly in Switzerland by PMB for all custom units |
