1 hour MTB suspension service

Suspension service in 60 minutes by appointment

The PMB workshop in Lausanne offers the fastest possible service in 60 minutes by appointment: just book your service and bring your suspension on the scheduled day and time.

Your presence is required for the first 15 minutes for testing and validation of the suspension, followed by 60 minutes of complete service including hydraulics, replacement of seals, oil, and grease. After 60 minutes your suspension is handed back to you, ready to ride.

Advantages:

  • Service completed in 60 minutes per suspension
  • Service by qualified suspension tech with 8 years of experience
  • No shipping, no parcel, no shipping costs
  • Minimum uncertainty
  • Direct and efficient communication with the technician to identify any additional needs: repairs, modifications, tuning
  • In case of a problem, you are shown directly what it is: no phone calls, emails, or videos required
  • No downtime of your bike for several days or weeks
  • Possible from 9:30 to 17:15; if you book a service for 17:15 the suspension will be handed to you when the workday finish at 18:30

How it works:

  • Appointments can be booked online via direct.pmbswiss.ch (available 24/7), which gives you direct access to the workshop’s availability, or by phone at 076 572 25 46 (Tuesday–Friday, 10:30–18:00)
  • Each appointment takes a 1h15 slot: 15 minutes for check-in and suspension test, and 60 minutes for the service itself
  • The owner’s presence is required during the first 15 minutes to identify any malfunction or additional needs. No MTB suspension arrives in the same condition, and it is always cheaper to identify needs before the service than during it.
  • The owner’s presence at check-in saves time, ensures the deadline is met, and reduces costs: identifying a problem before the service is always cheaper than correcting it afterward
  • Flat rate per service: 250 CHF, including the standard service kit as defined by the manufacturer
  • If your suspension is overdue for service (2–3 years without service), it is recommended to choose the PRO package: an additional 50 CHF payable on site, covering +30 minutes of extra work or the equivalent in additional spare parts
  • Suspensions are handed back at the end of the service or at a later time agreed during check-in; it is not possible to arrange a later pickup time before check-in
  • If additional service kits or components that are out of stock are required, delivery of the suspension will be delayed by 48–72h (rare cases)
  • Suspensions must arrive clean and separated from the bike
  • If you need to bring the complete bike, allow 1 extra hour and notify us in advance by phone at 076 572 25 46 so we can arrange a suitable time slot
  • Only suspensions listed among the supported models are accepted

Additional options during the service

  • The most common repairs can be done during the service (additional charge payable at the workshop). If a repair cannot be done immediately, you will be informed right away of the delay.
  • Common modifications and upgrades (additional charge).
  • Most common travel modifications for shocks (additional charge).
  • Eye-to-eye modifications for TTX22m.2 and TTX22m (additional charge).
  • Valving TTX22m.2 and TTX22m (additional charge).

Important

  • ONLY FOR MOUNTAIN BIKE SUSPENSIONS
  • DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU CANNOT COME IN PERSON
  • If you prefer to send your suspension, do not book an appointment: in most cases your shipment will not arrive in time and will require phone or email communication, which makes the 60-minute service impossible and increases delays. Mail-in services are generally done within a few days after reception.
  • Your presence is required for check-in and test but because of efficiency and safety requirements, customers can not stay during service.
  • If, during check-in, it turns out that your suspension is unsuitable for service (dangerous condition, components too damaged, etc.), a fee of 100 CHF will be charged for the check-in, and the rest of the service will be refunded.
  • Trek Re:aktiv, TALAS, RS-1, Brain and DRCV suspensions are not accepted under any circumstances.
  • Formula MOD: no same-day service, only possible with a 5-day lead time.

Location

  • The workshop is located at Ruelle de Bourg 7, 1003 Lausanne (Switzerland)
  • This is a pedestrian street: if you come by car, you will need to park beforehand
  • The workshop is close to Lausanne train station and several parking lots; Parking Montbenon is usually the easiest option
  • If you are not familiar with Lausanne, it is recommended to plan an extra 30 minutes
